Our campervan is called Lilly. Since more than 10 years we are addicted to the vanlife-fever and travel almost exclusively on four wheels. Our tours take us through Germany and all of Europe. Vanlife means for me ...
Freedom, adventure and independence on four wheels. As soon as I get behind the wheel of my campervan, my thoughts start to bubble, I'm full of ideas and my joy of discovery is huge. I want to explore new countries, get to know foreign cultures and people, take life as it really is at this moment - in the here and now, without big plans, without an agenda.
Just concentrating on traveling and simply enjoying the landscapes and places, reflecting on the simple things in life, putting aside the stress of everyday life and letting myself drift through the day - that's how I like to travel. And the great thing is that I always have my own little home with me and can decide completely freely and spontaneously where to go next. Whether it's lonely beaches, picturesque mountain landscapes or vibrant cities - even when I'm far away from home, my campervan gives me a feeling of safety and security.
The past few years of traveling by motorhome have taught me a lot. For example, to honor and respect nature and to enjoy it with all my senses. Or to go through the world with an open heart instead of closing it off. But one thing in particular has increasingly found its way into my personality: And that is to be humble and to feel gratitude. For each of these unique moments, for every encounter with great people and for every new insight that has been revealed to me.
Even if it is not always easy, because with every trip you leave your comfort zone more and more and as a family with a child you have to overcome many hurdles, but the experiences and memories that remain are unforgettable. And for the life of me, I can't imagine ever going on vacation any other way. That's why I'm sharing with you the most beautiful tours, the best spots and the most helpful tips from my life as a vanlife fan, nomad on wheels, nature lover, climbing enthusiast, mountain sports enthusiast, hiking fairy and outdoor freak.
